The two-day event was completed by the screening of relevant excerpts<br \/>\ndocumentary, approved by the &#8220;Greece 2021&#8221; committee and<br \/>\nwas financed by the &#8220;Antonis Tritsis&#8221; program.<br \/>\nThe events began on Saturday morning with a memorial service in the Sanctuary<br \/>\nChurch of Agios Nikolaos and followed by the laying of wreaths in the area of<br \/>\n&#8220;Heroes&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe Speaker of the Parliament congratulated the organizers of the conference, expressing the<br \/>\nhis joy and satisfaction, because, in a way, he &#8220;exploited&#8221; his relationship<br \/>\nSirrakos with the &#8220;Greece 2021&#8221; Committee, following a relevant request from the President<br \/>\nof T. Community of Syracuse G. Vaitsi, as a result of which the events will be included<br \/>\nin the context of the reflection actions for the two centuries since the birthday<br \/>\noutbreak of the Greek Revolution.<br \/>\nReferences to the work and personality of the Syracuse politician and activist<br \/>\nIoannis Kolettis, the country&#8217;s first parliamentary prime minister, did<br \/>\nin their greetings, New Democracy MP Stavros Kalogiannis<br \/>\nand the Regional Governor Alekos Kahrimanis, while to the poet and prose writer Kostas<br \/>\nKrystalli, also born in Syracuse, said the SYRIZA MP<br \/>\nMeropi Tsoufi, sending a message of optimism.<br \/>\nFor his part, the mayor of Northern Tzoumerka, Yiannis Sendeles, stood<br \/>\nin the choice of the Municipality to focus on the revolution of Syracos and the<br \/>\nKalarriton, but also in the contribution of the pre-revolutionary struggles with the<br \/>\nhighlighting the heroic figure of Katsantonis. He also pointed out the difficult<br \/>\npre-work of the preparation of the program &#8220;Syrrako 1821-200 years from<br \/>\nthe Revolution&#8221; by the organizational and scientific committee as well as the<br \/>\nthorough selection procedure of the coefficients both of the scientific one<br \/>\nof the two-day program but also of the historical documentary.<\/p>\n<p>In the program &#8220;Syrrako 1821 &#8211; 200 years since the Revolution&#8221; and in all<br \/>\nrelated actions that took place from the summer of 2021 up to and including<br \/>\nAugust 2022 by the bodies of Syracuse, the president was finally mentioned<br \/>\nof T. Syracos Community George Vaitsis.<br \/>\nHe pointed out that Syracuse, a place with a special and rich culture<br \/>\nidentity, has given special importance to highlighting and recording it<br \/>\nof its history over the last 30 years, through the Links, of the former community<br \/>\nand the Spiritual Center and then through the North Municipality<br \/>\nTzoumerko and the N.P.D.D. &#8220;Georgios Gianniotis&#8221;. He mentioned the function<br \/>\nof Endowments and actions for the utilization of assets<br \/>\ndata of Syracuse through the N.P.D.D. and in closing he referred to the great one<br \/>\neffort of the Community and the Municipality to activate it<br \/>\n&#8220;Keep&#8221; program that will help to save and preserve it<br \/>\nof Syracuse&#8217;s architectural heritage, which today is the strongest<br \/>\nelement of connection with his story and asked the president of the Parliament<br \/>\nto mediate so that the individual requests of T. Community of Syracuse<br \/>\nto the competent Ministry to find a response.<br \/>\nWith their presence at the beginning of the work of the two-day conference, they honored<br \/>\nalso, the deputy regional governors Agni Nakou, Haris Lazanis and Odysseas Potsis, o<br \/>\npresident of the Chamber of Ioannina Dimitris Dimitriou, the former rector<br \/>\nof the Athens University of Economics Konstantinos Gatsios, regional and<br \/>\nmunicipal councilors, presidents of T.
