On the afternoon of Sunday, July 10, the curtain of the 4th Syrrako closed
\nTrail Run, which was completed with absolute success in Syracuse. The race
\nwas held under the auspices of the Municipality of North Tzoumerka and the Centre
\nStudy and Promotion of Natural Environment and History of Syracuse “o
\nGeorgios Gianniotis”. In the celebration that followed after the end of
\nawards, all participants, runners, volunteers and organizers had
\nthe opportunity to rejoice and celebrate the event, after the Syrrako Trail Run
\nit turns out that in addition to the pure racing part, it is a celebration
\nyouth and beyond, which combines history and culture with the
\nsports ideal.
\nThe presentation of the match to the public was once again undertaken by
\njournalist Areti Stassinou while the technical description of the match before the
\nthe athletes were started by the secretary of the Ioannina Runners’ Association
\nand member of the organizing committee of Syrrako Trail Run Vangelis Tsimaris.
\nThe 120 entries runners, the excellent organization of the race, the excellent
\nimpressions of athletes and attendants and the large participation of volunteers
\nprove that the Syrrako Trail Run now occupies its own niche
\non the mountain road racing map. The route of 12 kilometers, if
\nand small, it turns out to be one of the most difficult routes in the
\nGreek area that apart from the rugged terrain and the large
\naltitude difference combines natural beauties of infinite beauty.
\nThe first winner was Ilias Lambrousis of OLD TRAIL RUNNERS
\nwith a time (1:06:19), breaking his personal record in the Syrrako trail Run.
\nLambrousis, with two previous participations in the race, had understood it
\n2019 the fifth place in the general ranking with a time of 1:12:34, while in the same
\nrace he had emerged first in the 18-29 age category.
\nDimitra emerged as the first female runner for the fourth consecutive year
\nTsalokosta of the Arta Runners Association with a time of 1:15:53. Tzalakosta
\nwho has won all previous matches, records a
\nimpressive run at the Syrrako Trail Run and firmly holds the women’s record
\nfrom 2019 with a time of 1:10:39.<\/p>\n
