Tavern “The Goura”
Below the Goura guesthouse you will find the homonymous tavern where you can enjoy our local traditional food, made with love and passion. Don’t forget to ask Mr. Kostas to cook for you pork shortbread and from Ms. Alexa Pancakes for breakfast. The flavors will surprise you and satisfy your palate!
Snack Bar- Cafe “Sarika”
In the center of the village, the “Sarika” family snack shop-sweet shop has been created, where you can taste delicious cooked food, traditional pies, roasts of the hour, tsipouro with homemade mezes. You can enjoy your coffee and drink, relaxing by the fireplace, with a view of the peaks of Tzoumerka.In the same area you will find the village grocery store, as well as wood-carved souvenirs. Don’t forget to try and take something with you from the wide variety of spoon sweets and jams, made with pure ingredients, homemade liqueur and tsipouro, coarse noodles and local herbs.
Restaurant “O Stavraetos”
In a traditional environment, with elaborately decorated wooden ceilings, a carved stone fireplace, photos and objects from old Syracuse, the oldest business in Syracuse, “Stavraetos”, has been operating since 1975.Cheese pie, vegetable pie, dough pie, pumpkin pie, meat pie and macaroni pie are some of the famous pies of “Stavraetos”. Roast lamb, boiled goat, pork with celery and greens, grilled mutton, are waiting for you to discover them accompanied by tsipouro and fine red wine. A trademark for “Stavraetos” is the wide variety of spoon sweets, all locally produced.
Traditional Tavern “To Sirrako”
The family tavern has been operating since 1991. With art and passion you will taste genuine traditional flavors as well as any food you wish from the rich menu, such as zygouri kebab, kokoretsi, lamb shank, boiled goat, traditional pies, traditional homemade spoon and pan sweets. The tavern is located in the central square of the village, in Sirrakos.
